We’re so excited to introduce you to Chelsea Hearty, the owner of Courage Cookies. What began as a midnight snack in 2020 has grown into a beloved Toronto café, known for its standout cookies (Angel Pillow, IYKYK) and its deep commitment to community.
Through fundraising initiatives and ongoing advocacy work, Chelsea has created a space that feels genuinely welcoming, personal and rooted in the neighbourhood around it.
Courage Cookies (1561 Dundas St W)
As Courage Cookies continues to grow, Chelsea is focusing on local events and trade shows. These efforts are helping introduce the brand to new audiences beyond the Dundas West shop. At the same time, she’s steadily expanding wholesale partnerships across Canada.
An Everyday Crossbody for Market Days & Cookie Runs
One of the things we loved hearing from Chelsea was how naturally our packs have become part of her everyday life. They go to market days, errands, dinner, the shop and everywhere in between.
Before Roncy Packs, she carried the same belt bag for years and loved the practicality of it but eventually started wanting something more versatile.
I carried around a Lulu fanny forever. It was a lifeline, but I got to a point where I thought, should I be hiking with the same bag that I wear when I go out for dinner with? I was ready to invest in something a bit more stylish.
Balancing function and style is something that comes up often in conversations with our customers. We see this in our custom work as well, when folks bring in bags they no longer use to rework into a Roncy Pack. Something they can wear all day, into the evenings and keep for years.
What's Inside My Roncy Pack!

Here's what we can find stashed away in Chelsea's bag on any given day
- Cardholder with all the essentials
- Keys
- Lip balm
- Hand lotion
- Cash and coins
- Doggy treats
- And sometimes a cookie!
We also had to ask an important question:
How many emergency cookies should one always keep on hand?
Chelsea's expert advice is: two to three.
Two for yourself and one in case someone catches you snacking and you need to share.
